Dress rehearsal for youngest officers’ promotion ceremony

The final-year cadets graduating from the Military Academy and the Military Medical Academy’s Medical Faculty proudly paraded in front of the House of the National Assembly of the Republic of Serbia today, rehearsing for tomorrow's ceremony to promote the youngest officers in the Serbian Armed Forces.
The dress rehearsal was attended by Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Defence Nebojša Stefanović, PhD, Deputy Chief of the Serbian Armed Forces General Staff, Lieutenant General Petar Cvetković and the Rector of the Defence University, Lieutenant General Goran Radovanović.

Earlier today, Minister Stefanović was a guest on the Radio Television of Serbia’s Dnevnik (Journal), where he said that tomorrow's ceremony is a special thing not only for the armed forces, but for all citizens of Serbia, whom he invited to attend tomorrow's event.

"It is a great honour, pride and joy to be an officer in the armed forces. Besides our youngest officers’ parents and loved ones, we expect citizens to come to the promotion ceremony to see their military in front of the House of the National Assembly. We will also have a nice cultural and artistic program, as well as flyovers," Minister Stefanović announced and asked the citizens to comply with Covid-19 anti-epidemic measures.
This year, a total of 139 cadets will be promoted to the first officer ranks: 121 cadets from the Military Academy’s 141st and 142nd classes, as well as 18 students from the MMA Medical Faculty’s 7th class.

The ceremony to promote the youngest officers will be held on Saturday, September 11, 2021, in front of the House of the National Assembly of the Republic of Serbia, starting at 10 am, and it will be attended by President Aleksandar Vučić and top state and military officials, as well as domestic and foreign guests.
