Minister Vulin opens new plant in "Prva iskra" Barič

- During the NATO aggression, "Prva iskra" was practically destroyed. Thanks to remarkable persistence of all employees and a whole generation of engineers, the management of “Prva iskra”, but also the great trust in the Ministry of Defence and the Supreme Commander of the Serbian Armed Forces Aleksandar Vučić, by opening this plant, “Prva iskra” has returned to where it was before the bombing and has even improved a little – emphasized the Minister of Defence Aleksandar Vulin. Today, he officially put into operation the new T-4 facility in the "Prva iskra namenska a.d." company in Barič, where the processing of delaborated explosives will be performed.
According to Minister Vulin, it took a great deal of time, effort, enthusiasm and love to revive this company, and we can now say that it can compete with any company in Europe, or even in the world.

- I thank all the employees, all the managers, engineers, technicians and all those who have dedicated their lives to renewing and improving what was destroyed during the NATO aggression. Of course, this means a lot to the Serbian Defence Industry, because this is an important component for "Krušik" and "Sloboda", but also for the Serbian Armed Forces. Only when you are self-sufficient and when you are capable of producing your own products, those products actually belong to you and no one can take them away from you, and strong, equipped and supplied armed forces are the guarantor of our freedom and future - Minister Vulin emphasized.

Speaking about the importance of the new plant, the director of “Prva iskra namenska a.d.”, Stanoje Biočanin, pointed out that the T-4 plant that was put into operation today will process delaborated explosives based on the composition of hexogen and octogen with TNT.
- Our goal is to relieve other plants that work with more solvents, and thus increase the safety and capacity and extend our product range, which will also increase export capabilities of this company. About 1,500 kilograms of delaborated explosives will be processed here, and we can say that about 500 kilograms of hexogen-based explosives and 500 kilograms of TNT-based explosives will be obtained daily - Mr Biočanin emphasized.

During today’s visit, the management of the factory informed the Minister of Defence about the results that this company achieved in the previous period and about the plans for further work.
