Minister Vulin: Yesterday's exercise on Pešter showed joint action of the state

Tonight, in the Evening News of Radio Television of Serbia, the Minister of Defence Aleksandar Vulin stated that yesterday’s exercise “Joint Action 2020”, that members of the Serbian Armed Forces carried out on Pešter, showed that we got exceptional officers, NCOs and highly trained crews.

 - There is a huge amount of work behind all this. Armed Forces are not made in one day. In order to make armed forces, you need to have a state. Armed forces of a state are a reflection of the state itself – Minister Vulin emphasized, adding that the exercise mostly showed new and upgraded weapons and military equipment which are the product of domestic industry and which we are able to produce thanks to the decision of President Vučić to invest in the Serbian defence industry.

According to Minister Vulin, the greatest result of the exercise "Joint Action 2020" is that the armed forces have shown that all their branches can work together, and that the Army, Air Force and Air Defence and special brigades function perfectly. Europeans like to say that President Vučić is to blame for the fact that we have armed ourselves, and if I could give him a medal, I would, and the entire Serbian Armed forces would, because he has armed us, equipped us and made the Serbian Armed Forces what they are - said Minister Vulin.

Yesterday’s exercise was not only the joint action of the armed forces, but also the joint action of the state, Minister Vulin estimates, because we have never had such unity of the state leadership, led by the Supreme Commander, Minister of Defence, Chief of the General Staff, all the way to the youngest soldier in the Serbian Armed forces, where everybody worked towards a single goal, thinking only about Serbia.

- Our message is that we are ready, that we are capable. History teaches us that when Serbia is strong, when its armed forces are strong, Serbs are safe wherever they live and peace is guaranteed and long-lasting – Minister Vulin says, speaking about the message of yesterday’s exercise and adding that everybody, both friends and enemies, is free to choose how to interpret that message.
