President Vučić: Throughout the History of Serbs on either side of the Drina there has not been a period this long without a single harsh word

- Today we have agreed on some kind of additional concrete support to the Republika Srpska economy. We, through the Government of Republika Srpska, to which we will pay some money, will especially subsidize businessmen in Republika Srpska for their equipment, businesses and machines, to an extent even more favorable than in the Republic of Serbia, because we want to encourage the survival of our people at their hearths and we want to help further and faster development of Republika Srpska – said the President of the Republic of Serbia and the Supreme Commander of the Serbian Armed Forces, Aleksandar Vučić, who was at Mrkonjic Grad in Republika Srpska today, where he visited the Grammar School and the Mechanical Engineering School. The visit was also attended by Minister of Defense Aleksandar Vulin, Republika Srpska President, Željka Cvijanović and Serbian Presidency Member, Milorad Dodik.

President Vučić emphasized that the value of the donation of the Republic of Serbia to the High School center in Mrkonjic Grad, in which the Grammar School and the School of Mechanical Engineering are located, is 300 thousand Euros and is intended for equipment and machines purchasing.

- Add to that another 200.000 convertible marks for the Health Center, or mammogram, because it is important that all women have a mammogram here too, to discover the first symptoms of the disease, not to go to Banja Luka, and to provide vehicles for the Health Center. We have made a decision to help the neighboring municipalities, Šipovo, Jezero and Ribnik, the Serbian municipality of Kupres and Novo Selo, to help them financially and we will continue to do that – said President Vučić.

President Vučić emphasized that he is grateful to Serbian Presidency Member Dodik and President Cvijanović for understanding the importance of preserving the whole of our people, of always being together.

- I believe that in the history of the Serbs on either side of the Drina River, we have not had this many years in continuation without any harsh words uttered between us. And I am very proud of this, and I am very happy about this. Something like that has never been recorded in Serbian history. That kind of unity, even when we disagree on everything, that kind of unity, the knowledge and the realization that we have to stand together and that the only way in which we can survive is through unity, I think it might be a bigger achievement than anything else; therefore I am grateful to Dodik and President Cvijanović and to all the people who have invested their energy so we could achieve what we have today and to have been maintaining something like this for a long time now – said President Vučić, adding that he was especially happy to visit Drvar today and see the faces of people who perhaps did not believe that something like this would happen in such a short time.
President Vučić said that our people are one and unified and that no one can separate our people in any way.

- To me, the message is the same for Serbs wherever they may live, for Serbs in Montenegro, and for Serbs in Srpska and for Serbs in the Federation – that we are one people and that we have one church – stressed President Vučić.

On the occasion of his visit today, Mayor of Mrkonjić Grad, Divna Aničić presented President Vučić with the Charter of Honorary Citizen of Mrkonjić Grad.
Serbian Presidency Member Dodik and President Cvijanović thanked President Vučić for the visit, agreed that President Vučić’s visit sends a strong message and highlighted the importance of cooperation between the institutions of Republika Srpska and the Republic of Serbia.

After visiting the educational institutions in the city, President Vučić met with officials and businessmen in the Mrkonjic Grad municipality building.

The meeting was attended by Minister of Defense, Aleksandar Vulin, Serbian Presidency Member, Milorad Dodik, President of Republika Srpska, Željka Cvijanović, National Assembly Speaker, Nedeljko Čubrilović, Prime Minister Radovan Višković and Chairman of the Council of Ministers, Zoran Tegeltija.
