Regarding the malicious and inaccurate statements of Vuk Jeremić in ‘Novi dan’ TV show on TV N1, and in connection with the export of arms of the Krušik company, for the sake of truthful reporting to the public, we emphasise that the Krušik company does not export arms and military equipment to Yemen.

Such allegations of irresponsible politicians are not only malicious, but they also directly harm all employees of the Serbian Defence Industry, damaging its export potential by telling lies.

Please note that the Ministry of Defence participates in the process of controlling the export of arms and military equipment (AME) and dual-use goods, as one of the four ministries and state administration bodies, giving its consent to an individual application for an export license for AME and dual-use goods, in accordance with its competencies. The Ministry of Trade, Tourism and Telecommunications is the competent institution for issuing licenses for the export of AME, supervision and control, as well as monitoring the implementation of licenses issued.

We emphasise that, according to the criteria of transparency in the export of arms and military equipment, the Republic of Serbia has been among the top five countries in the world for a number of years in the list of Small Arms Trade Transparency Barometer published by the Geneva-based Small Arms Survey organisation.

The Ministry of Defence calls upon irresponsible politicians who, contrary to the data of the world reference organisations, make false statements in order to obtain the cheapest political points, to stop doing so because they harm the citizens of Serbia.
