Minister Vulin: We are doing everything in our power to make Serbian Armed Forces much stronger




- The Serbian Armed Forces will continue to modernize. Since 2012, when Aleksandar Vučić became Minister of Defense, followed by his efforts to secure economic stability as Prime Minister, the Serbian Armed Forces was no longer a demoralized and unkempt armed force it had been until that point, the armed force that was not allowed to call the NATO aggression by its real name at the anniversary of the NATO aggression, but to keep silent and refer to it as “NATO actions” and “NATO operations”; armed force that was not allowed to call things by their actual name, let alone to build its strength or equip – emphasized the Minister of Defense Aleksandar Vulin today in the National Assembly.

According to him, the Serbian Armed Forces today, as everyone can see, is stronger and richer and has 14 MiG-29, which are being overhauled and modernized.

- We will also have three new Mi 17 helicopters in our possession, four new Mi 35 helicopters, and five new H-145 helicopters, 30 modernized T-72 tanks and 35 BRDMs, also modernized will arrive. The Serbian Armed Forces are already working on the modernization of their SA-3 Goa Air Defence systems, modernizing our “Orao” (“Eagle”) plane and, as you can see, everything we do is to make the Serbian Armed Forces much stronger and much more powerful. But not only that, we are working to ensure that every member of the Serbian Armed Forces is satisfied and that is why salaries are greater than ever – Minister Vulin emphasized, adding that the daily wages were increased and that solidarity money was also introduced for the birth of a child.

He also pointed out that new ballistic kits, as well as new uniforms and boots have arrived.
