Filming of the Serial “Тhe Military Academy” Continued

Minister of Defence Aleksandar Vulin, Chief of General Staff of the Serbian Armed Forces General Ljubiša Diković and Director General of the Radio Television of Serbia Dragan Bujošević attended today filming of the first episode of the fourth season of television series “the Military Academy” in the barracks “General Jovan Mišković” ub Belgrade.

In their conversation with producer’s team, actors and cadets, they exchanged views on how the life of the new and old generation of cadets and officers of the Military Academy should and would look like in the series. According to Minister Vulin, the series is a good way to familiarise the young people with the Serbian Armed Forces.

- Of course, the Serbian Armed Forces are the most loved and respected institution by the Serbian people and they do not need much presentation but the young generations should see what the life in the armed forces looks like. That is precisely what we requested from the screen players of this serial – to show an earnest military life, just like it is, with all its hardships and difficulties, but with all nice segments of that profession as well, when you can say that you have educated someone and that you have dedicated your life to the protection of your country and your people – the minister of defence pointed out. He said that the series promoted the values that we all hold dear – freedom, equality and the values that make the Serbian Armed Forces important and as much loved in our country.

- That is, apart from unconditional love for freedom and fatherland, a great self-sacrificing, hard work, readiness of the people to sacrifice themselves for other and give their best even more than what is expected from them. That is precisely the task of the Military Academy; to present the values upon which rest the Serbian Armed Forces, and Serbian people and the state of Serbia – Minister Vulin concluded.

General Diković said that from the beginning of filming until that moment, the series Military Academy gave a great contribution to the affirmation of life of cadets and military profession.

- I would give recognition to all those who have participated in filming of the series for exceptionally serious approach and defined goal. It is not at all easy to show the difficulties of the military profession making it attractive at the same time. That mix of the attraction and love towards the military profession and the responsibility that one has throughout the entire life is the goal. It is important that the public gains the insight into the secrets of profiling an officer of the Serbian Armed Forces from the moment of entering in the Military Academy as a cadet to the completion of studies, when the cadet should become absolutely loyal to fatherland, ready to sacrifice for it and for the everlasting values – stressed the Chief of the General Staff of the Serbian Armed Forces.

Director General of the Radio Television of Serbia did not hide his expectations regarding the success of the fourth season.

- I expect that this season of the serial will be as successful and watched as all the previous ones and that more and even better cadets will enrol on the Military Academy – Bujošević said.

Bojan Perić, one of the actors who has been in the series from the first episode, pointed out that he had a feeling as if he had never left the Military Academy and that the atmosphere on the set had always been fun and friendly, just like it had been on the first day six and a half years before. Anđela Jovanović, who has been acting in the series for the second season, stressed that both cadets and actors are always ready for new going-ons and activities and she stated that the season, unlike the previous ones, be “the most military” with a lot of action and military exercises.

The fourth season of the series, realised by the Ministry of Defence, Radio Television of Serbia and Production House “Nira Pro” is going to have 12 episodes. The new serial is planned to be presented in autumn this year.
