Defence Minister Aleksandar Vulin has met today with the newly-appointed Ambassador of the United Arab Emirates to the Republic of Serbia, Mubarak Al Dhaheri.
The participants in the meeting discussed further development of strategic relations in the field of defence, as well as further intensification of military-economic, scientific-technical and military-to-military cooperation. They particularly expressed interest in further continuation of cooperation in the field of defence industry.

Defence Minister Vulin expressed his satisfaction with the intensification of bilateral military co-operation in 2017, as evidenced by the implementation of several official high-level visits to both countries, as well as the successful implementation of training in mountain conditions with 3 firing platoons of UAE Armed Forces in Niš.

- A special highlight to cooperation, including the defence cooperation, is given by a very friendly relationship between the President of the Republic of Serbia and Supreme Commander Aleksandar Vučić and the Deputy Supreme Commander of the UAE Armed Forces, Crown Prince Sheikh General Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan.

The Minister of Defence confirmed the commitment of the Republic of Serbia to the development and continuous strengthening of traditionally friendly and strategic relations with the United Arab Emirates.

The Republic of Serbia is a reliable and honest friend of the United Arab Emirates and is fully committed to improving bilateral cooperation in all spheres of common interest, Minister Vulin said.
