Minister Vulin: Deploying Montenegrin Officers to K&M is a Political Message of Support to the Independence of Kosovo

- Apparently, deploying two members of the Montenegrin armed forces is not in the function of greater security of citizens in Kosovo and Metohija – stated today Minister of Defence Aleksandar Vulin asked to comment on decision of Montenegrin authorities to send the members of their armed forces to the mission in the southern Serbian province.

- This is the matter of two staff officers and that is a political message of support for independence of Kosovo, which is not something that will be warmly welcomed in Serbia. As we can see, not even the representatives of Priština are particularly impressed by that assistance. They are taking it for granted, so it is not appreciated that much – Vulin added.

He reminded that Montenegro and the so called Kosovo have not yet carried out the demarcation; they have not defined the borders, although they recognise each other as independent states.

- This is a political act of support for Kosovo’s independence and Serbia cannot welcome it, and we see that Priština as well does not appreciate it much – reiterated the minister of defence.
