Commitment to peace on all matters

Answering the journalist's question on Kosovo and Metohija, Minister Vulin emphasized that this is a part of the Republic of Serbia.

- It is hard for me to understand that someone is asking for his country to be internationally recognized, guarded, in recognized international borders, but on the other hand he has the idea that my country should be somewhat smaller or otherwise organized and that this or that part of its territory should not be within its composition. That is not good. And when you hear such a statement, then you have to react to it. And then you have to react seriously and stately, and the state reacts seriously by calling up its most responsible people to tell what all this means and whether this affects our security, Vulin stressed.

In the continuation, Minister Vulin also referred to the event in Srebrenica:

I will remind you that it has been two years since the attempt of murder of Aleksandar Vučić was carried out. And we still do not have a single name. And yet nobody was punished for that. And we still all pretend as if it did not happen. Excuse me, if that happened on the territory of the Republic of Serbia, we would do everything to come to the truth, the guilty would surely be found and punished after two years, and still Aleksandar Vučić did not make any room for deteriorating relations between our countries because of that. And this speaks of the statesmanlike seriousness and it tells how much Serbia really is committed to peace and how much it is willing to let go things which a few countries would let them go. Can you imagine the reaction of any other country if someone tried to kill their prime minister and that two years later you have no answer to that question. And as you can see, we are still here today. Members of the presidency were several times in Belgrade. Our President, therefore, really shows the extent to which he is able to do everything to keep this space calm and stable. Without such Serbia, it would not have been possible, Vulin said.

Commenting on the statement of the BiH Presidency member Bakir Izetbegović, Minister Vulin said:

- You have to react when someone tries to endanger you, even with a statement, when such a statement comes from such an important person in a neighboring country, then you must respond to a statement that questions the sovereignty and territorial integrity of your country. I am sure that if I have said such a thing and endangered the territorial integrity of Bosnia and Herzegovina with such statement, we would certainly find someone to react and reaction would certainly be at the state level. And as you know, no Serbian state representative has ever violated the territorial integrity of Bosnia and Herzegovina with their statement. We have always emphasized that we are a country that recognizes Bosnia and Herzegovina in its internationally recognized borders, that we are a guarantor of the Dayton Agreement, and that we expect that everything in Bosnia and Herzegovina will be implemented in accordance with the Dayton Agreement, in accordance with the consensus of the three peoples and two entities.
