Minister of Defence meets with representatives of the Association of Military Pensioners of Serbia
Defence Minister Aleksandar Vulin has met today with the representatives of the Association of Military Pensioners of Serbia, with whom he discussed further development of the cooperation between the Ministry of Defence and that Association.
Minister Vulin said that the Ministry of Defence and the Serbian Armed Forces does everything, and that in the following period they will continue to work on raising the standard of not only active members of the Serbian Armed Forces, but also those who were retired, so that everyone can feel that they belong here, that the state will always be on their side and help them in need.

President of the Association of Military Pensioners of Serbia Ljubomir Draganjac thanked Minister Vulin for understanding and assistance in solving the problems which the population of the retired military personnel encounters in exercising their rights.
At the meeting, the discussion was held about the improvement of the Law on Health Care and Health Insurance of the Military Insured, provision of housing, starting the proposal for an initiative to transfer military beneficiaries of the civilian Pension Insurance Fund back to the Fund for Social Insurance of Military Beneficiaries. Consideration was also given to the possibility of adopting regulations that would eliminate the differences in pensions for persons of the same rank and position, who were retired at different times, in accordance with different regulations.
The topics discussed were the extension of the one-off payment of pension differentials to military pensioners, also in 2018, the Law on temporary regulation of the manner of pension payments, and the ways of enabling municipal organizations of the Association of Military Pensioners of Serbia to temporarily use the unused space at the disposal of the Ministry of Defence.
The meeting was also attended by Colonel Uglješa Jovičić, Acting Head of the Military Health Department, Colonel Slađan Ristić, Head of the Directorate for Tradition, Standard and Veterans and Lieutenant Colonel Radan Kostić, Director of the Fund for Social Insurance of Military Beneficiaries.
