Security Situation in Serbia is Stable
Evaluating security situation in the country as stable, Minister of Defence Aleksandar Vulin pointed out that “we fully control not only our territory but all the occurrences in it, in line with our legal authorisations”.
- Also, we fully control the migrant crisis and its effects and we do not allow any kind of political, or any other, instability spilling over to our territory. The citizens of Serbia can be peaceful and secure as long as they have the Serbian Armed Forces like this.
Speaking about security challenges, the minister said that they are partly known to all and that the migrant crisis certainly is one of them with its effects.
- There is also the religious and political extremism which is the threat for each country in the world, including Serbia, to the same degree. There are, of course, the challenges that the members of our intelligence services are much concerned about, and that is not the topic for every discussion and every public appearance, but, as you can see, all is peaceful and good, and that is not a mere coincidence. A million people who are not our citizens transited through this country without a single incident and that also is not a coincidence, and it cannot be a coincidence. If, among other, there was no work of our intelligence services, far from the borders of our country at that, Serbia would not be so safe and peaceful.
