Divine liturgy and moleben for cadets



On the occasion of completing the education of cadets of 138th class of the Military Academy and the 3rd class of the Medical Faculty of the Military Medical Academy, a ceremonial archdiocese liturgy with moleben was held in the parish of the the Protecting Veil of the Mother of God in the Military Academy.
 
The liturgy on the occasion of the successful completion of education of cadets of the 138th class of the Military Academy was served by His Eminence Bishop of Mileševa Atanasije (Rakita).
 
In addition to the cadets - future officers of the Serbian Armed Forces, Commandant of the Military Academy, Major-General Goran Zeković, with associates, Chief of the SAF GS Human Resources Department (J-1) Colonel Savo Iriškić, and numerous commanding officers and priests of the Serbian Orthodox Church attended the ceremonious spiritual event.
 
During the solemn liturgy, cadets who had prepared, according to their free will, approached the altar and communed. At the end of the Liturgy, congratulating the cadets on completion of education and the promotion to the rank of second lieutenant, Bishop Atanasije gave his blessing to the future officers, expressing the great joy that had the honour, this year as well, to rejoice for the successful completion of education of cadets of the final year of the Military Academy.
 
- The Military Academy has enabled you to acquire knowledge from many sciences and skills, and today we have greeted the Lord God for everything you achieved during schooling and what has been provided for you to get educated in an institution such as the Military Academy - Bishop Atanasije said.
 
On behalf of the Military Academy, those present was greeted by Commandant Major General Goran Zeković, who thanked the Bishop and the priesthood for the solemn liturgy and the moleben that were held for the cadets of the final year.
