Recognitions and Awards on the Occasion of the Exercise “Steel 2017”
Today, in the Great War Hall, the Minister of Defence, Zoran Đorđević, with the attendance of the Chief of General Staff of the Serbian Armed Forces, General Ljubiša Diković, conferred the recognitions and awards to the members of the Ministry of Defence and Serbian Armed Forces and legal entities and individuals out of the Ministry of Defence and Serbian Armed Forces on the occasion of successfully carried out activities for the presentation of a segment of the capabilities of the Serbian Armed Forces and the celebration of the Serbian Armed Forces Day, Day of Victory and Day of Europe, held in Nikinci on 9th May 2017.

Golden plaques of the Ministry of Defence were presented to PC “Jugoimport-SDPR” and Military Technical Institute. The plaques of the Ministry of Defence were given to “Prva petoletka – defence industry” from Trstenik, “Senzor Infiz Zemun” and holding corporation “Krušik” from Valjevo.
The Scrolls of Honour of the Ministry of Defence were handed to the Ministry of Interior, Radio-Television of Serbia, and Sector for Emergency Management of the Ministry of Interior and PC “Water Supply and Sewage”.
Congratulating all the winners of the recognitions, Minister Đorđević said that the demonstration “Steel 2017” had been highly complex, significant and risky.
- Never in our country was a similar demonstration held before. You have shown that we, as Armed Forces, are capable, that we know how and to demonstrate that Serbia is capable of defending its territory and people, ant to guarantee security. There will be more of similar demonstrations and military exercises so that we could, among other, strengthen our operational capabilities – the Minister of Defence said.
The awarding ceremony was attended by the members of the Boards of the Minister of Defence and the Chief of General Staff of the Serbian Armed Forces.
