Pilots killed in Super Galeb G-4 crash buried




 
Lieutenant Colonel Nenad Culibrk and Captain Dejan Pandurovic, who lost their lives on Friday in the crash of the plane “Super Galeb G-4” were buried today at the cemeteries in Sabac and Belgrade. The families, relatives, colleagues and friends parted from two pilots.
 
Lieutenant Colonel Culibrk was buried with military honours at the New Cemetery in Sabac in the presence of the Serbian Armed Forces Chief of General Staff General Ljubisa Dikovic, Advisor to the President of Serbia Milorad Simic, State Secretary at the Ministry of Defence Nenad Neric, Acting Assistant Minister of Defence for Material Resources Nenad Miloradovic and Air Force and Air Defence Commander Major General Ranko Zivak.
 
The requiem mass was served by the bishop of Sabac Lavrentije with the clergy of the Serbian Orthodox Church.
 
The burial of Captain Pandurovic at the New Cemetery in Belgrade was attended by the Defence Minister Zoran Djordjevic, General Secretary of the President of Serbia Nedeljko Tenjovic and Acting Assistant Minister of Defence for Defence Policy Milan Mojsilovic.
 
Captain Miodrag Krstic, Dejan’s schoolmate, said that the colleagues loved him because of his “sports spirit and gentlemanly manners”.
 
“He was an exemplary flight instructor, sports and travel enthusiast. It was honour to serve with you, rest in peace”, Captain Krstic parted by the emotional speech.
 
Pilots Lieutenant Colonel Nenad Culibrk and Captain Dejan Pandurovic lost their lives during a routine training flight in the trainer-fighter “Super Galeb G-4” of Serbian Air Force and Air Defence, which crashed on Friday around the village of Slatina near Sabac.
