Minister Vulin visits the Combined Military and Police Force

Minister for Labour, Employment, Veteran and Social Policy, Aleksandar Vulin, has visited today the members of the combined military and police force in the bases along the border with Macedonia.

In the presence of the commander of the 4th Army Brigade, Brigadier General Zoran Lubura, the minister was briefed about the situation in the field by Colonel Vladeta Baltić.

During the tour of the occupied facility "Kozjak", Vulin talked with members of the combined forces, where, after getting acquainted with the ways of securing the border, he assessed that they were doing their job flawlessly despite the difficult conditions.

"I tell our entire public that these people are able to secure our borders in the best possible way regardless of whether the agreement between the European Union and Turkey remains or not, and whether there will be an increase in the number of migrants or not," Vulin said.

Minister Vulin finished his visit to the combined military and police forces at the border crossing of Preševo.

Since 22 July, when the combined military and police forces control the state borders with Macedonia and Bulgaria, 15,000 migrants were prevented in an attempt to illegally enter Serbia. Nearly 100 smugglers were caught trying to illegally take more than 1,300 migrants over to the north of our country.
