Prime Minister and Minister of Defence visit company "Milan Blagojevic" Lučani

Serbian Prime Minister Ana Brnabić and Defence Minister Aleksandar Vulin visited the company "Milan Blagojević-namenska" a. d.  Lučani, where they visited works on the construction of a production facility for continuous nitration of cellulose and protective ramparts in the industrial zone.

Director Radoš Milovanović informed them about the course of work and the importance of the production unit for continuous cellulose nitration for this defence industry company, and reminded that this was an investment for which money was provided by the Government of the Republic of Serbia.

The production facility for continuous cellulose nitrate, whose construction began in January, and the completion of the work is planned in December, will introduce a new technology that will provide a guided management process, improve safety and enable better quality and double capacity increase, but also employ new 50 workers.  Its putting into service is planned for May next year.

After that, Prime Minister Ana Brnabić and Defence Minister Aleksandar Vulin visited emergency works on the rehabilitation of protective water facilities at the Lučani embankment.

The director of the Public Water Management Company "Srbija Vode" Goran Puzović informed them that the construction of a protective rampart is in the final stage.

- The facility consists of 1830-meter long embankment, a 770-meter long concrete wall, pumping stations with a capacity of 7.5 cubic meters per second and a 150-meter long hydrotechnic tunnel. For this facility, the Government of the Republic of Serbia has allocated RSD 220 million, and this is the first phase of protection of Lučan from large waters.

Defence Minister Aleksandar Vulin emphasized that the Government and the President of the Republic of Serbia paid great attention to Lučani, not only because of the defence industry, however important it was, but also because of the people who live here and because of the right of every human being living in Serbia to be safeguarded, protected and that his state helps him.

- The defence industry "Milan Blagojević" has certainly helped in this as well. The Ministry of Defence, with the leadership of this factory, earmarked significant funds from which we purchased two extraction pumps, which will help in solving the problems of some future floods, not to have them again, Minister Vulin said and reminded that it is important, when it comes to Milan Blagojević, to say that the factory uses the time when our products are really demanded on the world market to invest in new technology, new production, employment and the acquisition of new products that prepare us for some future time.

He pointed out that this is how the Serbian defence industry is behaving and that is why the help of EUR 49 million, provided by the Government of the Republic of Serbia, went to the right hands and they very much take care of how it is spent, so the results cannot be bad .

Prime Minister Ana Brnabić expressed her satisfaction with what she saw today visiting Čačak, Guča and Lučani, and pointed out that she is especially looking forward to the new employment of young people, and that the Government of the Republic of Serbia was determined to pay attention to family-owned companies that are expanding and employing new people .

Speaking about the defence industry, she pointed out that its significance for our country is very large and that it represents a great potential of Serbia.

- I am glad to see that things are getting better in Lučani and we are glad that we are on this rampart. In addition to RSD 70 million, as the Government, we appropriated two weeks ago another billion dinars for general cleaning of the canals, building the embankment, and this is what we can do to improve the safety of people in Serbia, and that is something that remains for future generations, and that ensures that people remain to live in their homes, and that, when they have factories and produce something, that floods do not take it all from them, the Prime Minister said, adding that this is important for raising our own g gross domestic product and it fits into our goal to see what we can do with the good budgetary status, and that it can show fast effects.
