The Day of the "Zastava" film centre marked



Military Movie Centre "Zastavamovie" Today marked a day - 14 November and 64 years of existence.

Director VFC "Zastava" Lieutenant Mate Vujinovic said at the ceremony that the mission of that film company is film preservation and making new films which will be realized in future by making educational films and other forms using modern technology and approach as well as with a specialized further information activities aimed at informing the public the activities of the Ministry of Defence and the Serbian Armed Forces and digitizing film archive.

According to him, the previous year was difficult, scarce in resources and was marked by a number of obligations.

- However, we managed to partly independently and partly in cooperation realize some significant projects. What marked this year was the process of consolidation is the process in which we choose a starting point for future work, selected projects, which should be the focal point of the next year, as well as authors with whom we will realize these projects- Lieutenant Vujinovic said, adding that the film company always had a good ear for ideas and authors outside the system.

Congratulating the day to the employees of the institutions, the Chief of Public Affairs Col. Milivoje Pajovic said that we should always strive for new modes of cinematic expression.

- "Zastava film" will continue to exist, with changes made to the character and structure, because the defense system requires it. That institution has yet to represent itself to the public, and it has the full support of the Public Affairs Department - said Colonel Pajovic.
