Visit to the Second Training Centre in Valjevo



Defence Minister Dragan Sutanovac and Chief of General Staff Lieutenant General Ljubisa Dikovi? during today's visit to Valjevo, visited the Second Training Centre in the "Vojvoda Zivojin Misic" barracks in that city.

Commander of the Centre Colonel Dragoslav Sladakovic informed the Minister about the activities of the unit. Certification and training of soldiers was shown through the working points "Fire Instruction", "Service Regulations ", "Drill" and "Crossing the Endurance Track."

On that occasion the Minister said that there is the third generation of soldiers in this centre who wish to voluntarily join the ranks of professional soldiers of the Serbian Armed Forces.

- This is absolute proof that the professionalization process has been completed successfully because in March there were more than 2000 interested young men and women for 500 vacancies who wished to volunteer to serve in the military. The Minister added that there is possibility of introducing four instructions per year for military service.

Speaking about the Second Training Centre, Minister Sutanovac said that all soldiers, apart from training, receive also certificate for using arms that can serve them, and when engaging in other security systems.

Basic training is unique for everyone and the goal is to create a reliable, physically ready and motivated soldiers who possess the qualities necessary for combat and basic skills to survive on the battlefield and function as a member of a team or crew.
