SAF CHOD in Bosnia and Herzegovina
Chief of the Serbian Armed Forces LTG Miloje Miletic is paying an official visit to Bonsia and Herzegovina where his host will be the Joint Chief of Staff of that country LTG Miladin Milojcic. Even though the previous period was marked by a series of meetings of both chiefs of staff, within multilateral activities and conferences, the visit of LTG Miletic to Bosnia and Herzegovina is the first at visit at the CHOD level.
During the official talks, both chiefs of staff shared their views on reforms of the defense systems and transformations of armed forces as well as current activities and plans for the upcoming period. They also exchanged experiences on participation of both forces in multinational operations and they both agreed that the current cooperation was good yet with room for improvement.
Both general Miletic and Milojcic emphasized that the top priority in future military relations would be military education, training and specialization courses and that this would be a set of activities where cooperation would continue.
Furthermore, they confirmed their commitment for further engagement and participation within recognized regional initiatives which would add to increasing interoperability through using national capacities in the region. The following capacities were recognized as such: Center for peacekeeping operations in Butmir near Sarajevo where the SAF members have undergone training so far as well, as well as the NBC training center in Krusevac where the members of Bosnian armed forces, as well as cadets of the Military Academy in Belgrade would also be trained.
SAF CHOD met with the Bosnian defense minister Selmo Cikotic during the day and also a visit of the Peace keeping operations center in Butmir is scheduled.
