State Secretary Živković meets with Provincial Secretary for Sports and Youth Mr Basta
State Secretary in the Ministry of Defence Aleksandar Živković met with Mr Dane Basta, the Provincial Secretary for Sports and Youth, today.
State Secretary Živković greeted the guests on behalf of the Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Defence Nebojša Stefanović, PhD, and emphasized the role and importance of sports in the upbringing and character-building of both members of the Ministry of Defence and the Serbian Armed Forces and the Serbian youths.
The Provincial Secretary for Sports and Youth expressed willingness to participate in organizing joint preparatory camps, various sports competitions and participation in military and non-military competitions, as well as willingness to support the development and promotion of sports in the Ministry of Defence and the Serbian Armed Forces by organizing promotional activities.Today’s meeting was the first meeting between the representatives of the Ministry of Defence and the Provincial Secretariat for Sports and Youth, and one of the main agenda items was the establishment and development of cooperation in the field of sports between these institutions and planning joint sporting activities as a form of mutual support.
The meeting was also attended by the head of the Serbian Delegation to CISM, retired Brigadier General Siniša Radović and the director of the Provincial Institute for Sports and Sports Medicine, Mr Danijel Župić.
