Meeting of Minister Vulin with Bundestag Member Neu

Today, Minister of Defence Aleksandar Vulin met a member of Bundestag of the Federal Republic of Germany Dr Alexander Neu, who is a member of Defence Board and Deputy Member of Foreign Affairs Board.

Minister of Defence Aleksandar Vulin expressed his gratitude to Dr Neu for his courage to speak truth in Bundestag when he referred to Kosovo as “the first mafia state”.

- We know how difficult it is to be a friend of Serbia and we are grateful for your courage and perseverance - Minister Vulin said.

The Republic of Serbia is militarily neutral and it will continue pursuing independent policy - Minister Vulin underlined.

- Establishment of so-called “Kosovo Armed Forces” is absolutely unacceptable for Serbia. Arming terrorist from the ranks of the KLA led by so called “Ministry of Defence” in Priština, and forceful mobilisation of the Serbs represent the greatest security threat to peace in the Balkans. UNMIK, KFOR and EULEX are obliged to do everything to prevent further infringement of Resolution 1244 - said Minister of Defence Aleksandar Vulin.

At today’s meeting, Bundestag member Dr Alexander Neu commended the policy of neutrality and independence of the Republic of Serbia. He stated that Serbia should continue leading wise policy of pursuing its own interests and that it should not renounce its sovereignty at any cost. The international community is obliged to ensure peace and security for all citizens in Kosovo and Metohija - said Dr Neu and stressed that Serbia’s joining NATO alliance would not bring anything good to Serbia and its citizens.
“Equipping and strengthening the Serbian Armed Forces is a wise policy of a militarily neutral country” estimated Dr Alexander Neu at today’s meeting.

During his visit, Bundestag member Dr Alexander Neu will visit the exhibition “Defence 78” dedicated to commemoration of the 20th anniversary of defence against NATO aggression in 1999.

Today’s meeting was also attended by Assistant Minister of Defence Policy Milan Ranković.
