Medals for Military Academy cadets at the athletic meeting in Moscow
The Military Academy’s athletic team participated in the Second Bilateral Cadet Athletic Meeting, held in the hall of the Central Sports Club of the Armed Forces (CSKA) in Moscow. The sports meeting between the cadets of our Military Academy and the cadets of the Higher education institutions of the Ministry of Defence of the Russian Federation was opened by Deputy Minister of Defence of the Russian Federation, General of the Army Nikolay Pankov, and on behalf of the Ministry of Defence of the Republic of Serbia, Colonel Budimir Gajić. Defence Attaché to the Russian Federation addressed the participants and guests.
Captain Sergey Shubenkov, 110m hurdles world champion, and Captain Maria Lasitskene, three-time high jump world champion, encouraged athletes and wished them great results.
The most successful athlete in our team was Cadet Ognjen Zlatić who won the 200m gold medal and the 60m bronze medal. Eight cadets of the Military Academy in this competition achieved their personal records.The competition was carried out in 14 disciplines. The Military Academy delegation was led by Colonel Slađan Veljković, Head of the Military Sports Centre.
