Award for the thousandth baby since the introduction of childbirth solidarity assistance programme




Defence Minister Aleksandar Vulin spoke today with Lieutenant Rade Stojanović from the 5th Military Police Battalion, who became the thousandth member of the defence system who received a decision on childbirth solidarity assistance grant with birth of his son Vukašin.
 
Congratulating Lieutenant Rade Stojanović and his wife Aleksandra, Minister Vulin pointed out that the decision on childbirth solidarity assistance grant is one in a series of measures for improving the social position of the employees in the defence system. This is one of the ways how the Serbian Armed Forces takes care of its members, Minister Vulin said and wished the young lieutenant that the Stojanović family be richer for more members in the future.
 
According to Lieutenant Stojanović, a platoon leader of the service dog handler platoon of the 5th Military Police Battalion who lives and works with his wife Aleksandra and his son Vukašin in Novi Sad, any kind of financial assistance and support means a lot to all young couples especially when it comes to birth of the first child, so that they can create all the conditions for a new family member. Lieutenant Stojanović is also pleased that, as he says, it is a coincidence that exactly little Vukašin is the thousandth baby born since the introduction of the solidarity assistance measures.
 
Childbirth solidarity assistance grant means a monetary amount at the level of an average salary in Serbia and it has been introduced since 2018 at the initiative of the Supreme Commander of the Serbian Armed Forces Aleksandar Vučić.
 
Minister Vulin awarded Lieutenant Stojanović and his family with a seven-day stay in the facilities of the Tara military establishment.
