Celebration of Marking the Day of Military Hospital Novi Sad




On the occasion of marking 235 years of the existence of the Military Hospital Novi Sad, an occasional celebration was held in the Armed Forces Club in Novi Sad, which was attended by Head of Military Health Department Brigadier General Uglješa Jovičić Phd and Deputy Head of MMA Brigadier General Prof Dragan Dinčić.

Addressing the present, General Jovičić said that in the Military Hospital Novi Sad, which is the only stationary military health institution in the territory of Vojvodina, each year around 95,000 military insured and 15,000 patients with civilian insurance are examined, while more than 120 military insured and 900 patients with civilian insurance are hospitalised.
 
- The long history of this hospital is a testimony to dedication of the medical staff to serving their state and armed forces, both in peacekeeping missions and emergency situations today, just like it was in the past when they treated great number of the wounded - General Jovičić pointed out and stressed that the Military Health Department would always be there to support and give guidance to all the efforts to that the Military Hospital Novi Sad would be and remain of the pillars of the military health.
 
Head of the Military Hospital Novi Sad Colonel Bratoljub Brkljača, reminded in his address of the long history of this oldest military hospital in Europe, whose staff, as he pointed out, proudly continued the tradition of numerous generations of glorious ancestors.
 
In the continuation of the ceremony, along with cultural and artistic programme, scrolls of honour were conferred to deserving institutions and individuals for the cooperation with this military health institution in the preceding year.
