Course on Managing Defence in the Wider Security Context



A regional course entitled Managing Defence in the Wider Security Context, organised by the Ministry of Defence of the Republic of Serbia and the British Embassy in Belgrade, is held in the Guards Club in Topcider, from 9 to 20 May 2016.

The course has been opened today by HE Denis Keefe, British Ambassador to the Republic of Serbia and Brigadier General Slobodan Joksimovic, Head of the Strategic Planning Department of the Defence Policy Sector.

The lecturers at the course are from the Cranfield University and the Defence Academy in Shrivenham, and the participants are representatives of the ministries of Defence, Interior and Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Serbia, Bosnia and Herzegovina and Montenegro.

It is planned that the course participants at the strategic level investigate issues of security, defence, governance, leadership and management, with the aim of developing a comprehensive approach to creating security and defence policy, as well as effective contribution to promotion of national and regional security in the Western Balkans.
