Concert "My Odyssey"




Концерт „Моја одисеја”In the Cultural Center of Smederevo, last night, an author’s concert of Vojkan Borisavljevic was held on the occasion of the 50th anniversary of his artistic work.

The famous composer and conductor celebrated the jubilee with the help of his friends, the prominent local artists like Leo Martin, Milan Lane Gutovic, Zeljko Vasic, Dusan Svilar, Ivan Bosiljcic and many others. Accompanied by the "Stanislav Binicki" Art Ensemble of the Ministry of Defence they performed his most famous compositions like "A sad adio", "The Odyssey," "Love is just a word," "Roses withered", "Sail, white ship".

- Cooperation with the "Binicki" ensemble began 25 years ago, coincidentally just when I celebrated 25 years of my work. It is a pleasure and this can celebrate this anniversary, too, with the oldest ensemble in Serbia, Borisavljevic said.

Vojkan Borisavljevic is a famous Serbian composer and conductor. He has been dealing with art work since 1965. His oeuvre consists of more than 500 songs written for the most famous singers of the former Yugoslavia. He composed songs for series like "Grey House" and "Hot wind", with the famous song "A sad adio", and his music for the film "Barking at the Stars", was awarded the Golden Mimosa in 1997.
