Donation to the Healthcare Center in Obrenovac
Defence Minister Bratislav Gasic, accompanied by Minister of Health Zlatibor Loncar and Head of the General Staff General Ljubisa Dikovic, visited today the Healthcare Center in Obrenovac and handed an Ultrasound machine, a mobile monitor and two repaired orthodontist chairs as a part of the donation form the Armed Forces of Serbia and their associates to the people of Obrenovac.
- After all of these days of members of the Armed Forces of Serbia working intensively on clearing the structural waste, fecal waters and other trash left after the floods off the streets of Obrenovac, the Armed Forces of Serbia, along with their associates, have managed to secure a donation which supplied the equipment and orthodontist chairs for a more efficient and better quality work. We will continue helping the people in Obrenovac in the future period as well by keeping a part of the Armed Forces of Serbia in the city for seven days more, and we will continue with the donations – Minister Gasic said, announcing that, soon, in cooperation with Pertini, the Armed Forces will donate toys to the youngest citizens.
- Members of the Armed Forces in Obrenovac will be deployed on clearing demolished houses and creating conditions for building new ones, which adds a new assignment for the Armed Forces – Minister Gasic announced.
On this occasion, Minister of Health Zlatibor Loncar pointed out that the donated equipment and the two ambulances provided by Prime Minister Vucic represent a significant help for a more efficient work of the health system in Obrenovac.
Thanking Defence Minister for the donation, President of the Municipality of Obrenovac Miroslav Cuckovic said that the health situation in Obrenovac has been improved and that the efficiency of providing care in the Municipality’s healthcare system has been increased.
Defence Minister Bratislav Gasic attended earlier today the meeting of the Crisis Response Headquarters in Obrenovac, where it has been decided that, after the larger part of the units of the Armed Forces of Serbia return from Obrenovac, a certain number of CBRN units, tanks with drinking water and the X-ray machine should be left in that city to aid the people of Obrenovac even after the end of the emergency situation.
