Minister Rodic meets with the Ambassador of Canada
Minister of Defence Nebojsa Rodic met today with the Ambassador of Canada to Belgrade Roman Vuschuk.During the meeting both sides agreed that bilateral military cooperation has so far focused mostly on education and advancement of the MoD and SAF members in Canada as well as developing the capacities of civil military cooperation in Serbia.
Minister of Defence stressed the importance of intensifying the cooperation in the field of defence, given Canada’s strong international influence as well as the developmental support it has given so far and the investments in the Republic of Serbia. This is why both sides have emphasized the need to harmonize and sign the planned bilateral Defence Cooperation Agreement.
Ambassador Vaschuk confirmed and stressed at the same time that Canada supports Serbia on its path to EU integrations, on which occasion he also expressed hope that the cooperation would be even more developed at all levels including the field of defence.
