Gala First Night of the Film “Military Academy 2”
Projection of a long waited film “Military Academy 2” has been held this evening in packed Sava Centre. The film projection was attended by the Minister of Defence Nebojša Rodić, Chief of General Staff of the Serbian Armed Forces General Ljubiša Diković, representatives of the Ministry of Defence and Serbian Armed Forces, numerous public figures and fans of the same TV serial.The actors and actresses who play the cadets of the finishing year of the Military Academy appeared on the red carpet – Bojan Perić, Radovan Vujović, Ivan Mihailović, Branko Janković, Jelisaveta Orašanin, Tijana Pečenčić, Dragana Dabović, Nikola Rakočević, Tamara Dragičević, Nevena Ristić and others.
The fans of popular generation of cadets and the audience in Sava Centre were watching what happened to the characters in the serial. The film shows the last months of studying, everyday life at the academy, demanding training and high educational standards intertwined with private problems and temptations of ambitious cadets at their life`s turning point.
According to the words of the director Dejan Zečević the film has been done as a teenager story in a somewhat different style because it was shot for a wide screen. He added that it is pretty dynamic with many turns of events and new characters.
- Cadets in this film are mostly in the phase of training to be pilots so a great number of scenes were shot at the airports. The serial is much larger and involves also the events of everyday life of those who don’t attend the Academy. We really tried to fulfill the expectations of the audience who waited for so long, said Zečević.Bojan Perić, who plays the role of Stošić, said that it was hard to undergo an entire way from being a cadet of Military Academy to the star on the red carpet but also worthwhile.
- I believe that the spectators saw how much we enjoyed at the film shooting. For me the most difficult part was to bow to the audience in Sava Centre but only when all is behind us do we realize how everything was easy, said popular Stošić.
Tamara Dragičević who plays the role of Nadica points out that the film is both for teenagers and adults and that all those who see it will enjoy in a good comedy and lots of positive energy.
The actors will also be present at the first night of the film “Military Academy” that will be held in the cinemas in Novi Sad, Niš, Zrenjanin, Čačak, Kragujevac, Kraljevo, Obrenovac, Banja Luka, Požarevac, Kikinda, Aranđelovac. The film will be on the cinema programme throughout a whole Serbia. Besides the main cast Sofija Rajović, Slobodan Stefanović, Miloš Timotijević, Goran Jokić, Aleksandar Radojičić, Ljubomir Bandović, Nebojša Milovanović, Branislav Lečić, Tihomir Stanić, Vojislav Brajović, Ivana Mihić, Marija Milovanović also made their appearance in the film.
Soon the new seven episodes of the TV series “Military Academy” will be emitted. The film, unlike serial, fully concentrated on the life and life challenges of cadets, their private problems, ambitions and careers will be on regular cinema programme from tomorrow onwards.
