Minister Gašić lays wreath at Monument to Fallen Soldiers in Trstenik
Minister of Defence Bratislav Gašić laid a wreath today at the Monument to Fallen Soldiers in Trstenik, to mark the anniversary of the liberation of Trstenik in the Second World War.
The Minister of Defence laid the wreath accompanied by the Chief of Staff to the Minister of Defence, Brigadier General Nikola Matović, and the Chief of the Regional MoD Centre Niš, Colonel Miodrag Milojević.The commemoration began with a memorial service for the fallen service personnel, followed by the national anthem and a minute of silence honouring all the fallen soldiers from the Trstenik region.
Wreaths were also laid by the fallen soldiers’ family members, representatives of the Municipality of Trstenik, partner municipalities, and veterans’ associations.
