Italian personnel receive training at CBRN Training Centre
Specialist training for Italian Armed Forces personnel, involving the use of highly toxic chemicals, has been successfully conducted at the Serbian Armed Forces’ CBRN Training Centre in Kruševac.
Under the expert supervision and with the support of instructors from the Centre, specialists from Italian units practiced in both laboratory and field settings tactical procedures employed by CBRN personnel in contaminated environments.Practical training was conducted at the Ravnjak training ground and in specialised laboratories at the Car Lazar barracks. These facilities provide the necessary conditions for practising procedures and protective measures related to chemical detection, the decontamination of terrain and facilities, and the sampling of live agents.
By participating in this training, Italian soldiers and officers enhanced their knowledge of toxic chemicals and protective measures, and gained practical proficiency in operating within environments contaminated by such substances.
In addition to training all categories of personnel, including active-duty and reserve military personnel and representatives from specialised civilian institutions, the CBRN Training Centre also delivers training for members of foreign armed forces. The significant international interest in training at our centre serves as a testament to the expertise of our instructors and the quality of CBRN training within the Serbian Armed Forces.
