Joint Tactical Live-Fire Exercise Victor 2026 concluded

The Joint Exercise Victor 2026 was successfully concluded today with the execution of a tactical exercise conducted by military police units at the Orešac and Peskovi training areas. Exercise Victor 2026 was jointly conducted by Army, Air Force and Air Defence, Special Operations and Military Police units across multiple training areas in the Republic of Serbia.

These activities were conducted from late August to early October. In line with the exercise scenario and within a set timeline, the activities encompassed drills and a joint tactical live-fire exercise at the Pešter temporary training area, followed by combat actions and road march operations executed by Army units, and, in the final phase, tactical drills and live-fire exercises conducted by military police units at multiple locations.
In terms of diversity of operations and participating combat units, this was one of the most comprehensive exercises conducted by the Serbian Armed Forces to date. Its goal was to increase the proficiency and readiness of commands and units in planning and executing combat operations, coordinating joint action, collaboration and force protection, with an emphasis on the employment of newly introduced and modernised weapons and military equipment.

During the final phase of the exercise, conducted at the Orešac and Peskovi ranges, military police units demonstrated their counter-sabotage capabilities. By carrying out complex, scenario-based tactical missions, military police troops demonstrated procedures for area control, cordon and search, and the encirclement and elimination of sabotage and terrorist groups, using modern combat vehicles and observation devices, working dogs, unmanned platforms and remotely piloted aircraft designed for various purposes, including aerial engagement and reconnaissance. They also demonstrated their skills in carrying out other military police duties, such as conducting investigations and counter-sabotage searches.
The activities conducted during the Joint Tactical Live-Fire Exercise Victor 2026 have confirmed high levels of proficiency, readiness and professionalism of Serbian Armed Forces personnel, as well as their capability to use new and modernised weapons and systems efficiently. Simultaneously, the exercise demonstrated a high degree of interoperability and collaboration of forces in responding to security challenges, risks and threats to the Republic of Serbia.
