Minister Gašić visits “Morović” Military Establishment



​Today, Minister of Defence Bratislav Gašić visited the Ministry of Defence’s “Morović” Military Establishment, to assess its recent performance, the implementation of ongoing investment projects, and plans for its further operational development.
​During the visit, the Minister of Defence met with the management and staff to discuss working conditions and investments in infrastructure and equipment. Minister Gašić was briefed about measures implemented over the past two years to expand the establishment’s capacity, while the personnel expressed satisfaction at the improved working conditions and business operations.

​Minister Gašić noted that substantial funds have been directed towards renovating and furnishing the existing facilities designed to serve the establishment’s primary functions.
​- The “Morović’ Military Establishment plays an important role, both through its primary functions and its wider potential. It is, therefore, important that we keep investing in it, improving working conditions there, and ensuring the prerequisites for its further growth. Our aim is to ensure these investments yield concrete results, not only in the quality of service and better working conditions for the staff, but also in terms of profitability – the Minister of Defence noted.

He highlighted the importance of the recently signed business and technical cooperation agreements, which have additionally improved land lease and usage terms, significantly boosting revenues and improving the establishment’s business operations.
​As part of the project aimed at enhancing business operations, new catering equipment has been procured, interior renovations have been carried out in the existing buildings, and new furniture and agricultural machinery have been procured.

​The Minister was accompanied on today’s tour by the Chief of Staff to the Minister of Defence, Brigadier General Nikola Matović, and the Head of the Hospitality Services Department, Gordana Đukić.
