President Vučić: I am proud of the officers, non-commissioned officers, and soldiers who conducted this exercise
The Distinguished Visitors’ Day at the Joint Tactical Live-Fire Exercise Victor 2026 was held today at the Pešter temporary training area. The event was attended by the President of the Republic and Supreme Commander of the Serbian Armed Forces, Aleksandar Vučić, Minister of Defence Bratislav Gašić, and the Chief of the Serbian Armed Forces General Staff, General Milan Mojsilović.
Following the successfully executed exercise, President Vučić expressed his satisfaction with the results achieved and extended his congratulations to the officers, non-commissioned officers and soldiers who had taken part in it, particularly highlighting the complexity of conducting the exercise under adverse meteorological conditions.- I am extremely proud of the officers, non-commissioned officers and soldiers who conducted the exercise today. It was extremely complex. The weather conditions were difficult, marked by strong winds. I mention this with respect to our paratroopers, the sorties carried out by our aircraft and helicopters, and engagement of targets that was by no means easy. I am proud of their effort and hard work – said President Vučić.
He also drew attention to the innovations presented for the first time during the exercise, primarily the employment of robotic and unmanned systems, including robotic dogs and various types of drones.- Today, you were able to see for the first time an attack conducted by robotic, unmanned, and unpiloted systems, an operation against a populated area conducted without a single human. In addition to Mali Miloš, you were able to observe robotic dogs, which were not easy to stabilise to deliver such accurate fire, yet we were able to equip them with revolver-type grenade launchers, Zolja rocket launchers, and 7.62 mm machine guns. Eight different types of drones were employed today, some of which had to be shot down by our personnel as part of the exercise. This, too, demonstrated the remarkable scope and pace of our modernisation -emphasized the President of the Republic.
President Vučić noted that the capabilities of the Serbian Armed Forces are being enhanced with the aim of preserving peace and stability in the Republic of Serbia.- It is obvious to everyone that we have no intention of threatening anyone. We want peace and stability, we want to safeguard and defend our sky and our homeland by ourselves - stated the President of the Republic, expressing his gratitude to General Mojsilović for his cooperation and the progress achieved by the Serbian Armed Forces. He evaluated the exercise and the endeavour and effort of all participating officers, non-commissioned officers, and soldiers as 'very good'.
The Chief of the Serbian Armed Forces General Staff expressed his satisfaction with today's exercise, noting that its success is the result of years of investing in the Serbian Armed Forces, as well as the support of the state leadership aimed at developing the operational capabilities of the Serbian Armed Forces.- In addition to the innovations regarding the employment of new military equipment, today’s exercise also demonstrated our operational capability. The Republic of Serbia can watch the development of the operational capabilities of its armed forces with pride, given that they are a force that guarantees security and peace, not only in the Republic of Serbia but throughout the Balkan region - stated General Mojsilović, expressing his gratitude to all participants for their performance and commending all participating units.
Congratulating SAF personnel on the impressive execution of the tactical, live-fire exercise, Milorad Dodik highlighted the visible advancement of the Serbian Armed Forces in all elements of combat readiness, which, he said, is the result of continuous investments and Serbia's overall economic progress.- I would like to extend my congratulations once again and state that this has been impressive. The Serbian people, and Serbia in particular, should be satisfied with the fact that this aspect of the development of the defence of the Serbian people and the Serbian state is at the absolute highest level of our time - said Dodik.
