President Vučić inspects construction of complex combat systems plant

The President of the Republic and Supreme Commander of the Serbian Armed Forces, Aleksandar Vučić, today inspected the third phase of the construction of a complex combat systems plant near Kuršumlija.
Also in attendance were the Chief of the Serbian Armed Forces General Staff, General Milan Mojsilović, and the Acting Assistant Minister for Material Resources, Nenad Miloradović.

During the visit, President Vučić observed that there had been nothing at the site but a meadow just seven years prior, whereas now, it was home to a factory where diligent, hardworking employees manufactured complex combat systems, contributing through their work to the strengthening of our defence industry and the Serbian Armed Forces.
- We are expanding capacities, constructing a new production facility, and creating additional employment opportunities. The further development of production will also enable us to produce our own wheeled armoured vehicles in Kuršumlija. We have made a significant leap forward and will continue to increase production, to include some of the most advanced drones, because, in terms of quality, what we make is on a par with products manufactured by defence industries across the globe.

What is most important is that people now have jobs and are capable of supporting their families. I will work to ensure that a portion of the profits generated is invested in higher salaries for workers, while we continue to develop our defence industry and further strengthen the Serbian Armed Forces. I would like to thank all the employees for the immense effort and energy they are putting into this project – President Vučić said.
Speaking about the production that is to be carried out at the plant, President Vučić said that, during the initial period, the focus would be on the production of Miloš 2 armoured vehicles, in line with the needs of the Serbian Armed Forces.

The new production hall will have a floor area of approximately 2,800 square metres and will be used for metalworking and component assembly. The new facility will house two production lines for the assembly of armoured combat vehicles.
