Professional soldiers training for non-commissioned officer roles

Selected professional soldiers are currently undergoing the first training module of the Basic Non-Commissioned Officer Course at the Sergeant Milunka Savić NCO Training Centre.
Prior to this, the trainees have successfully completed the Leadership Course, where, thanks to their excellent results, great effort, and full commitment to their tasks, they became eligible for further career advancement, including training for their first non-commissioned officer posts within the Serbian Armed Forces.

During the first training module, professional soldiers acquire and improve the knowledge and skills required for commanding a squad, carrying out general tactical missions and conducting both basic individual and general military training. Simultaneously, they develop their leadership skills, learn how to make decisions in various situations and apply acquired knowledge and skills in practice.
The training includes both theoretical instruction and hands-on training, and the trainees’ progress is continuously monitored and assessed. The demanding pace of the training contributes to the development of future non-commissioned officers’ sense of responsibility, independence, team spirit, as well as their ability to effectively command soldiers and carry out tasks within Serbian Armed Forces units.

Upon completion of the first module, the trainees will move on to specialized training, during which they will prepare for their first non-commissioned officer posts, in accordance with their branches and services.
Once they complete all modules of the Basic Non-Commissioned Officer Course, they become eligible to join the ranks of Serbian Armed Forces leaders, assume responsible duties, and pursue further professional development.
