Ministry of Defence announces public call for student scholarship applications
The Ministry of Defence has launched a public call for applications for 49 student scholarships for the 2026/2027 academic year. Scholarships are offered to 37 undergraduate students and 12 students pursuing a master’s degree. They will be provided with financial support during their studies and, once they graduate, will be offered employment with the Ministry of Defence or the Serbian Armed Forces.
Students pursuing a bachelor’s degree, who meet the scholarship requirements, will receive RSD 50,000 per month, while monthly scholarship for students pursuing a master’s degree will be RSD 60,000.Students enrolled in higher education institutions established by the Republic of Serbia, an autonomous province, or a local self-government unit, are eligible to apply. Applicants must be enrolled on an undergraduate or a master’s degree programme for the first time in the current academic year, be funded through the budget of the Republic of Serbia, hold Serbian citizenship, and have permanent residence in the Republic of Serbia. Eligible candidates are students who have progressed through their studies without repeating a single year, have cleared all exams from the previous years of study, and have achieved the minimum GPA specified in advance for each scholarship.
After successfully completing their studies, scholarship recipients will take up employment with the Ministry of Defence or the Serbian Armed Forces as officers or civilian employees in Belgrade.
