Admission of new Command and Staff Course graduates
Officers who have recently completed the Command and Staff Course at the Field Marshal Radomir Putnik National Defence School assumed new duties within Serbian Armed Forces commands and units today.
Prior to their graduation, the 72nd class of the Command and Staff Course spent ten months preparing to command units and perform staff duties by studying tactics, operational art, modern weapons systems and military equipment, command and leadership, logistics, as well as the security and intelligence structures of foreign armed forces.During that period, they enhanced their professional knowledge, analytical and problem-solving skills, as well as other capabilities necessary for successful execution of tasks within their scope of competence—skills they will be able to apply while performing responsible duties within the Serbian Armed Forces.
Today they were received by senior leaders from the commands and units to which they have been assigned. The leaders congratulated them on the successful completion of their advanced training and welcomed them to their ranks. The Command and Staff Course is the second level of a specialized, advanced educational programme for Serbian Armed Forces officers offered by the Defence University, which prepares officers to command battalion-sized tactical units, perform staff duties at brigade-level commands, and carry out other duties within higher-level commands of the Serbian Armed Forces and organizational units of the Ministry of Defence.
