Preparations for demonstration of new capabilities of Serbian Armed Forces

The Chief of the Serbian Armed Forces General Staff, General Milan Mojsilović, held a meeting in Niš today with representatives of the Army, the Air Force and Air Defence, and the Material Resources Sector of the Ministry of Defence to discuss preparations for the upcoming demonstration of new capabilities of the Serbian Armed Forces that will be held on Vidovdan (St. Vitus Day).
As part of the holiday celebrations, live-fire drills will be conducted at the Pasuljanske Livade training area using newly acquired and modernized weapons systems that are either already in service or in the final stages of introduction into service. Prior to that, a display will be held at the Colonel Pilot Milenko Pavlović military airfield in Batajnica, showcasing all combat systems participating in the firing drills, as well as the munitions that will be used against ground and aerial targets at the Pasuljanske Livade range.

At today’s meeting, participants reviewed the activities carried out to date, assessed the level of preparedness of the units involved, and defined measures to ensure the successful execution of the tasks facing Serbian Armed Forces personnel.
The Chief of the General Staff noted that the upcoming activities would be an excellent opportunity to present to the public the results of the intensive process of equipping and modernizing the military, as well as the high level of proficiency of members of the Serbian Armed Forces, which are transforming into one of the most modern and capable armed forces in this part of Europe.
