Ministry of Defence representatives attend Annual Security Review Conference in Vienna
Representatives of the Ministry of Defence of the Republic of Serbia have participated in the Annual Security Review Conference in Vienna, as part of a delegation led by the Ambassador of the Republic of Serbia to the OSCE and Other International Organizations in Vienna, Prof. Dr. Žarko Obradović.
During the two-day conference, delegations from participating states discussed the current security situation across the OSCE area, highlighting the importance of continuous work through the Organization’s existing politico-security mechanisms, particularly in the context of significant differences among states on key security issues.Participants also highlighted the need to preserve the OSCE’s existing mechanisms by enhancing transparency and predictability, and by strengthening cooperation with relevant international and regional organizations and initiatives.
The Annual Security Review Conference is one of the OSCE’s principal formats, providing participating states with an opportunity to exchange views on issues affecting European security, with a particular focus on the politico-military dimension.
