Visit to Technical Overhaul Institute “Čačak”
The Chief of the Serbian Armed Forces General Staff, General Milan Mojsilović, visited today the Technical Overhaul Institute “Čačak”, a military institution that is part of the Army and is primarily responsible for the technical maintenance and overhaul of military materiel.
During the tour, General Mojsilović was briefed on the Institute’s current capabilities and capacities for the overhaul, modernization, and serial production of systems critical to the further technological advancement of the Serbian Armed Forces. He also inspected the organization of work and working conditions at the Institute, as well as the status of ongoing projects.General Mojsilović was presented with the capabilities for the overhaul and modernization of tanks, infantry fighting vehicles and other complex combat systems, weapons, electronic and electromechanical systems, new work equipment, as well as plans for the further enhancement of capabilities through the utilization of modern technologies and the rejuvenation and strengthening of skilled personnel.
Describing the Technical Overhaul Institute “Čačak” as a pillar of the Serbian Armed Forces and the defence system as a whole, the Chief of the General Staff commended the Institute’s personnel, expressing his expectation that they would continue to perform their duties responsibly and professionally, while pursuing further innovation, improving technological processes, and maintaining the highest quality standards. Only through such efforts, he added, can the Institute remain a reliable support to the modernization, development, and strengthening of the Serbian Armed Forces’ capabilities.
