Minister Gašić, Minister Hasanov lay wreaths at memorials in Belgrade



Minister of Defence Bratislav Gašić and his counterpart from the Republic of Azerbaijan, Colonel General Zakir Hasanov, laid wreaths today at memorials in Belgrade’s Tašmajdan Park, as part of the official visit of the Azerbaijani delegation to the Republic of Serbia.
The two ministers laid wreaths at the monument to Heydar Aliyev, former President of the Republic of Azerbaijan.

Ministers Gašić and Hasanov then laid wreaths at the monument to the prominent Serbian author Milorad Pavić and paid tribute by laying flowers at the Monument to the Children Killed in the NATO Aggression in Tašmajdan Park.
By laying wreaths and paying tribute at the memorial sites, the two ministers reaffirmed the friendly relations between Serbia and Azerbaijan and demonstrated their commitment to fostering the culture of remembrance and respecting the historical heritage of the two countries.
Tomorrow, as part of the official visit, a formal welcome ceremony and a meeting between the delegations of the Serbian and Azerbaijani Ministries of Defence will be held.
