SAF unit takes part in exercise in Hungary

A unit of the Serbian Armed Forces’ First Army Bridge participated, along with infantry units of the Hungarian Defence Forces and the Ohio National Guard, in the tactical exercise Neighbours 26, held this week at a military training area in Hungary.
During the exercise, soldiers rehearsed tactical actions and procedures, while exchanging experience in the organisation, coordination, and execution of tasks in a range of operational conditions.

This was the eleventh Neighbours exercise jointly conducted by members of the Serbian Armed Forces and the Hungarian Defence Forces, and the fifth to include members of the Ohio National Guard.
The exercises have been conducted alternately in Serbia and Hungary since 2012, with the aim of exchanging experience and best practices, while enhancing proficiency and mutual understanding among participating armed forces during the conduct of tactical-level operations in an international environment.

In addition to strengthening military-to-military cooperation and overall relations with Hungary and the United States, the exercise helps enhance capabilities for the planning, organization, and execution of multinational exercises, as well as the ability of infantry units to carry out assigned tasks.
