Scholarship agreements presented to university and secondary school students



Today, Acting Assistant Minister for Budget and Finance Goran Momčilović presented scholarship agreements awarded by the Ministry of Defence and the Serbian Armed Forces to university and secondary school students. The ceremony was held at the Old General Staff’s Grand War Hall.
During the ceremony, scholarship agreements were presented to seven university students and 17 secondary school students who met the requirements of the public competition for the 2025/2026 academic year. Under the terms of the agreement, upon completion of their studies the scholarship recipients will be offered employment in defence, more specifically, within the Serbian Armed Forces, the Material Resources Sector, the Military Health Department, and the Public Relations Department.  

Addressing the scholarship recipients, Acting Assistant Minister Momčilović noted that all of them had demonstated through their education and success that they deserved support.
- Your decision to apply for student scholarships and, upon competing your education, to take up employment within the units, commands and institutions of our system testifies to your ability, despite your young age, to make wise, rational, and far-reaching life decisions. It is also a testament to your good upbringing and to the nation-building and patriotic values with which you have grown up – Assistant Minister Momčilović emphasized.

He emphasized that the Ministry of Defence continues to invest in young people, supporting their education in fields of particular importance to the Serbian Armed Forces and the state, because by carving their careers, they contribute to the quality and effectiveness of the defence system in carrying out its missions and tasks.
- The Serbia that future generations will inherit depends on your expertise, responsibility, and dedication. You should, therefore, work hard and persevere, for the trust the state has placed in you must be justified through good results, knowledge, and honour – Assistant Minister Momčilović said.

The ceremony was attended by the Head of the Human Resources Department (J-1) of the Serbian Armed Forces General Staff, Brigadier General Slađan Hristov, and the Head of the Military Health Department, Brigadier General Dragan Dinčić.
