Military police and reconnaissance units’ competition begins
The competition of military police and reconnaissance units of the Serbian Armed Forces, established in 2021, began today with a formal opening ceremony held at the Ribnica Barracks in Kraljevo.
This year’s event, organized by the Military Police Department of the Serbian Armed Forces General Staff, brings together 14 teams from the Serbian Armed Forces, two teams from the Ministry of the Interior of the Republic of Serbia and two from the Ministry of the Interior of Republika Srpska.Participants will carry out various tasks in four stages of the competition, demonstrating their training, tactical skills, marksmanship, physical and mental endurance, as well as team spirit.
During the first two stages, to be held at the Žiča shooting range, teams will compete in marksmanship, engaging various targets in a simulated urban combat environment. The final two stages will be held at the Beranovac training area, where the participants will compete in a patrol race, as well as in a team obstacle course race, featuring both natural and man-made obstacles.The competition was officially opened by the Deputy Chief of the Serbian Armed Forces General Staff, Lieutenant General Tiosav Janković, who told participants that this event is a serious test of their readiness, but also an opportunity for them to improve their individual skills, as well as the capabilities of the units they represent.
– You are also here to strengthen mutual trust, unity, and professionalism. I wish you speed and precision in the days ahead. I hope you show a high level of training and good team coordination, ambition, but also respect for the opposing teams. May the competition be safe and may the best competitors win in a fair contest. Long live Serbia, long live the Serbian Armed Forces – General Janković said.The annual competition of military police and reconnaissance units ends on Friday, when the winners in both the individual and team categories will be announced.
