Visit to Tank Battalion in Sremska Mitrovica
The Chief of the Serbian Armed Forces General Staff, General Milan Mojsilović, visited today the 15th Tank Battalion of the 1st Army Brigade at the “Boško Palkovljević Pinki” barracks in Sremska Mitrovica.
During the visit, he reviewed the organization of daily life and work, the training level of tank crews, the degree of implementation of key tasks, and the unit’s readiness to receive conscripts for military service.Expressing satisfaction with the situation observed and the progress achieved in the unit, General Mojsilović emphasized the significance of well-equipped, modernized and trained tank units for success in land operations. This is why a comprehensive modernization program is being implemented, providing tanks with greater firepower and advanced armor protection for improved survivability on the modern battlefield.
He stated that efforts have been made to further improve the standard of tank crews starting this year, and at the same time invited young people to apply for admission of soldiers to tank units, which will be opened next month, thereby gaining the opportunity to join the ranks of the brave who operate the most powerful combat assets in the Army.
