President Vučić welcomes President of Azerbaijan Aliyev
Today, the President of the Republic and Supreme Commander of the Serbian Armed Forces, Aleksandar Vučić, welcomed the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan, Ilham Aliyev, who is on an official visit to Serbia. The formal welcoming ceremony with full state and military honours was held outside the Palace of Serbia.
The ceremony, which included the ceremonial battalion of the Serbian Armed Forces Guard and the national anthems of Serbia and Azerbaijan, was attended by Minister of Defence Bratislav Gašić.
After the official welcome and a meeting between President Vučić and President Aliyev, the first meeting of the Council for Strategic Partnership between Serbia and Azerbaijan will be held, with Minister Gašić in attendance.
During the Azerbaijani delegation’s visit, Minister of Defence Bratislav Gašić will meet with the Deputy Minister of Defence of Azerbaijan, Agil Gurbanov.
