Competitions for recruitment into elite units of Serbian Armed Forces
The Ministry of Defence and the Serbian Armed Forces invite all brave and determined young men and women to demonstrate their patriotism and readiness to serve their country by applying for recruitment into the 72nd Special Operations Brigade or the 63rd Parachute Brigade.
The competition for recruitment into the elite units of the Serbian Armed Forces will be open from February 1 to 28, 2026. Eligible applicants must be citizens of the Republic of Serbia who meet general and specific requirements. Candidates who submit complete applications on time will undergo medical examinations, psychological assessment, physical fitness test, and security screening, followed by basic and selective training lasting ten weeks.Top-performing candidates will be given the opportunity to enter professional military service, initially on a six-month fixed-term contract, with the option to extend the contract for a fixed or an indefinite period.
Members of the elite units can expect continuous training and professional development, working with modern weapons and military equipment, as well as a base salary of approximately 250,000 RSD, with additional increases based on the individual’s level of training and assigned post.Candidates who have not previously completed weapons training are also eligible to apply. These candidates will meet the requirements for entry into professional military service upon the successful completion of selective training. Future members of the 63rd Parachute Brigade will be stationed in Niš, while the candidates selected for the 72nd Special Operations Brigade will be assigned to Pančevo.
