New soldiers’ individual skills assessed

Basic individual skills of soldiers who commenced their military service in early December of last year have been evaluated at the Serbian Armed Forces training centres in Sombor, Valjevo and Leskovac.
The goal was to assess their capability to carry out tactical actions and procedures on the battlefield independently, as well as to handle personal weapons and military equipment, and perform guard and duty officer roles.

The assessment was conducted after the initial phase of the first training period, during which soldiers of the December intake had gone through basic elements of individual tactical training, learned to handle personal weapons, conducted their first firing practices, and achieved the required physical fitness standards.
The evaluation results show that the soldiers have fully mastered the training content, successfully ending the first phase of basic individual training.

Soldiers will spend the remainder of their military service at specialized training centres learning to use their branch/service-specific weapons and military equipment, after which they will undergo collective training within Serbian Armed Forces units.
Soldiers interested in joining professional military service can apply now. This will allow them to complete the required procedures on time and be ready to join the professional service immediately after completing their voluntary military service.
